Aloha Wayne,

I was so impressed with Sonya! She is an awesome actor! I did not know she too was a student of yours. Cody was great as well. It was a pleasure to work with such wonderful people!

You are welcome Noah! I am so grateful to have been a part of Bethany's story. Not only was I cast but local boy Cody Gomes has a great part as well as Arlene Newman. I know the stunt doubles (the "real" surfer girls) were very happy to be working as surfers! Let's pray for more great films and local productions to come our way! Aloha ke Akua!

Thanks Sonya for starting this event to support Soul Surfer.

Our family was so blessed and excited when we found out Sonya got the role to play Malina (http://www.soulsurferthemovie.com/page/the-cast.html) in Soul Surfer. Sonya is an incredible talent and a true Kauai girl and a long time friend of the Hamilton family. Our family pushed hard to get as many local actors and music as we could in the film. It wasn't an easy task. Especially when you have so many haole's in our family and the Blanchard family. Haha.
