Happy to see its arrival.

It looks good. I wonder how many local Background extras can find themselves in the crowd. Being an "Old Salt" it was fairly easy. Just curious. Has anyone found themselves in Second :34 to :35?

I was a little to the right of the Australian flagpole, part of the Japanese Navy. That guy that sang that fantastic rendition of the Star Spangled Banner is standing in the front row. What was his name?

Yes, I see me very small in the ship.

Well, Mike, this is a good start. You can only get bigger in future films. BTW, Mike, you are easy to spot. Just look for two good looking guys and your the one in the middle of them.

Thanks to Don Dailey for posting the pic on HAN.

Dennis, you have a good eye, that was how I spotted me.  on another note, I think that when we go to see the movie, we should all have our Battleship shirts on.
Good Idea. Perhaps we can see about the studio arranging for us "Old Salts" t sit together for the Opening in Honolulu. Well, actually, I don't mind if they fly us to L.A. or New York for it.

Are you in the 1st row? It is interesting that several of the actors portraying Japanese Naval personnel are right up front. I see Joji Yoshida a few rows back & just to the left of the Australian Flag. He is at the end of his row, with his head framed by the ocean. Joji, playing the Japanese sailor, Hiroki, had a much more significant role than most of us local actors as they brought him to Louisiana for the shooting in Baton Rouge and he was given the name, Hiroki, in the film.

I guess we are all crossing our fingers for that. In one scene I stood next to Rihanna for one scene that took the whole day. On another day, I stood on the top deck next to Jesse Plemons (Ordy in the film) for several hours of filming. Hopefully more than my shoulder or shirtsleeve will show.

It's pretty exciting to see the 1st Trailer. I agree that it looks good. I can see me from a distance. Not up close unfortunately. Maybe one of the up close scenes I was in will be in the movie.
