Battleship Extra Non-Union 1 Reply

Sorry to hear about your situation with SAG. I just wanted to say I had a bump in pay one day and that included a haircut $18.00, just lucky I guess.

Aloha, everyone, I went today for casting for 'BATTLESHIP,' movie in Pearl Harbor "the basketball court arena."There was very little people coming in when I was there at 12 noon for "the military personnel" to be in the movie. But again they all could show up later on. I was fortunate to not wait in a long line. Katie Doyle Hummer was awesome, the casting director, she has alot of aloha in her.
god bless.....we must always count our blessings!

I'm sort of excited, this will be my first casting call in a while. Is there anything I should remember or take with me?

Crystal that audition was on a base
So civies couldn't just walk in & sign up
Wouldn't expect it to be as lite as the base was
So be prepared to stand in line for the general open call
That's the part I like is being union & having the meet & greet instead of dealing with the rude people in line for general public calls
1 person holding a place for 20 friends
Some people weren't raised properly

I wonder if that means it won't be that bad at next week's open call.. I was afraid I'd have to wait around for hours with my daughter.

Wow
Saw the short take of it on the news & thought "Bet it's going to be mostly real military who are casted"
Now after reading what Matt said maybe I will be wrong ??
Sent my stuff in already & got an email that it was received, but will go to the meet & greet anyway just for luck
