Happy to see its arrival. It looks good. I wonder how many local Background extras can find themselves in the crowd. Being an "Old Salt" it was fairly easy. Just curious. Has anyone found themselves…Continue

Sorry to hear about your situation with SAG. I just wanted to say I had a bump in pay one day and that included a haircut $18.00, just lucky I guess.

I really enjoyed myself at the casting call for battleship. Casting director really nice.

Ok here is I was told about possible future casting
"Maybe" but won't give out any detail @ this time
So just have to wait & see

Yep the public turn out was low
I got there @ 10:35 & there was maybe 20 people max
They had round plastic table with white forms for info & numbers in where the picture goes
They had people stand against the wall then took their picture
So it was a low turn out
Maybe after seeing what it was like for POTC4 people just didn't want to mess with going to this one ??

Took my wife and kids to the casting call. Super easy and hardly anyone there. In and out in 20 minutes.

Will there be any other dates for casting calls?
Comment by Tom Holowach on July 16, 2010 at 7:13pm
Let's put it this way, later on when they go plowing through the files to look for people to call in, what would you rather have representing you... a big, beautiful color 8 x 10 glossy, or a crappy litle 3 x5 digital printout of you squinting awkwardly, done on a printer that's probably short on ink.

My suggestion is show up early (08:00)
I'm going to pop in to see what it looks like
True you should bring a picture, but who knows they may take pictures
SAG meet & greet they didn't take a little snap shot of you,but public casting they might
I hate public line stuff
There is always that 1 or so who saves the line for 20 other people who are too lazy to come & wait in line
So be prepared for that to happen
If you fit what they are looking for then you might get given a short audition piece with the time/date/location of the audition
Now that's not guarnteed, but it can happen
So have all your size info so you can fill out the info on the card
If you don't get picked
Don't fret
That's part of the biz
You could be so ugly you scare a grizzly bear & get picked
It's weird how the picks happen
There is at least 2 more productions happening later on in the year

I think they took our picture at the military casting because we were in uniform and they wanted to see how we looked in uniform. They also probably didn't think any military people would have headshots. They probably expect "civillians" to already have headshots, so they might not be taking pictures. I still brought my photo and stapled it to the back of my resume just to be safe.
