Scott, that's true but for every one good non-union actor there's 10 good SAG actors.  A local actors' ultimate goal is to become a working actor like Garret Sato and Joji Yoshida.

Hilliard,  It's fantastic that ACM can use SAG actors in their films.  It's universally known that the best actors are in the union.  Including actors in Hawaii.  We've been waiting to work with ACM filmmakers for over a decade now.

ACM Student President Hilliard Meeks & Actor Joji Yoshida is planning the next mixer. Date, time and location is still pending. Suggestions for locations are welcome. Please email me at: lewlappert@hotmail.com

We're still looking for venues to hold mixers.  Central location with free parking.  Also food and beverage service would be ideal.  Please post your suggestions or contact Brenda Hillebrenner at: brendaleehillebrenner@yahoo.com

KC,  Thank you for getting the information for us.  Is there a charge to reserve a space at Kissaten?  I heard they have excellent food.

Comment by K.C. Aquino on December 3, 2014 at 7:57am

Lew, for M, it's Angela Varnadore: angela@mnlhnl.com.  The other places, you can just call directly.  Ryan's is 591-9132.  Bevy is 594-7445.

Another place to consider is Kissaten Coffee Bar at Restaurant Row as well.  It's small, but we can reserve the entire venue and can fit everyone. 593-7090.

KC, Can you find out the contact person at both locations you mentioned.  We're not familiar with M Nightcub.  Thank you for your assistance.

M Nightclub.  I go to a lot of meetups there.  Free parking, happy hour food and drinks, and lots of space.

Ryan's Bar and Grill. Free parking, happy hour food and drinks, and lots of space too.

Bevy.  Free parking in the vicinity, happy hour food and drinks.

Hawaii Five 0 appreciation

I can't express how grateful I am to be on the set with great people. The entire crew since season 1 has been so nice and friendly. They work such long hours but their patience is their perseverance. I am truly blessed.
