Please support this film, "Samurai Cop 2"  We are trying to get local actor Garret Sato in it.

And we hope to bring productions to Hawaii.

Hey Lew, I am so sorry for being MIA. Joji and I are working on a luncheon where the actors, ACM students, production companies, and the greater Hawaii film industry can come schmooze, panel discuss and look at the next projects. This will also be open to actors, acting coaches, and ACM alumni. I am still hashing out the details. I am trying to pass things through proper channels to make it legit. So far we are looking at the last weekend of this month. I will let you guys know immediately when Joji and I have this thing fine tuned.

Thank you Lew for the vote of confidence! I try every day to get better. I WANT to be a working actor, who is also good. I want to be real. I want to be ready.

The fact that there are more "good" actors that are SAG members than actors that are not SAG is irrelevant. In order to become a professional, working actor you're REQUIRED to join SAG. So OF COURSE the best actors also happen to belong to SAG. It's true of every kind of union in which you're required to join in order to get jobs.

Scott,  I know you'll succeed in this business because I see qualities in you Joji had when he was starting out.  He was this young hungry actor that studied and worked extremely hard on his craft.  He never gave up and continues to move forward even now.

I can't wait to be a good enough actor to actually deserve a SAG card. Until that time, I will keep pluggin at my goal of being a great actor. The rest will take care of itself in due time.

Lew you did a great scene at Mr. Weber's workshop,IMHO

There are some pretty good non-union actors out there Lew. I am SAG eligible, but I see no reason to join while living here. Plus, I need to score a gig with the start up $$$

Just got blessed with a small role in Hawaii 5-0 recently but...I'm union and would love to be working more, but it seems there's more work for non-union actors. It's quite frustrating, but I continue to pay my dues so I understand what you're saying Lew.

Scott, that's true but for every one good non-union actor there's 10 good SAG actors.  A local actors' ultimate goal is to become a working actor like Garret Sato and Joji Yoshida.
