Also, for those attending, parking will be on the street. Guest speakers and even organizers may park in the parking on College Hill. For those interested in helping please call me.

Sorry for being MIA. Just pumped about this event. I am hoping that it will lead to better cohesion in the local film community as well as better cohesion between UH students and the local film community. Just some apologies early. 1. The flyer was a rush job. I was in military drill putting it together at 3am. Proof read!!! Proof Read!!!! Proof Read!!!2. My accessibility was very limited to you guys. This is something I want to fix in the future. 3. Any organizations, acting coaches, or resources that I left out. I apologize on this first one. My goal is to put together some kind of gathering for the school and local community. Other than that, I am stoked about the maiden voyage of what can possibly be a more cohesive film culture here in Hawaii. From humble beginnings, comes greatness through hard work and nurturing. Aloha. See you all there.

Hey Lew, I am so sorry for being MIA. Joji and I are working on a luncheon where the actors, ACM students, production companies, and the greater Hawaii film industry can come schmooze, panel discuss and look at the next projects. This will also be open to actors, acting coaches, and ACM alumni. I am still hashing out the details. I am trying to pass things through proper channels to make it legit. So far we are looking at the last weekend of this month. I will let you guys know immediately when Joji and I have this thing fine tuned.

Thank you Lew for the vote of confidence! I try every day to get better. I WANT to be a working actor, who is also good. I want to be real. I want to be ready.
Comment by Roger Garrett on February 7, 2015 at 11:18am

The fact that there are more "good" actors that are SAG members than actors that are not SAG is irrelevant. In order to become a professional, working actor you're REQUIRED to join SAG. So OF COURSE the best actors also happen to belong to SAG. It's true of every kind of union in which you're required to join in order to get jobs.

Comment by Scott M. Schewe on February 7, 2015 at 10:00am
I can't wait to be a good enough actor to actually deserve a SAG card. Until that time, I will keep pluggin at my goal of being a great actor. The rest will take care of itself in due time.

Lew you did a great scene at Mr. Weber's workshop,IMHO

*** edited my poor typing ***

There are some pretty good non-union actors out there Lew. I am SAG eligible, but I see no reason to join while living here. Plus, I need to score a gig with the start up $$$
