ACTING CORE INTENSIVE - WORKSHOP

Aloha Y'all:

I just attended a Acting Intro Workshop on Thursday, and met some very nice people, who wanted to help us succeed in our acting careers.

They will be teaching a 3 workshop this weekend July 12 and 13, called  the Acting Core Intensive (details in links below), at University of Hawaii at Manoa, Krauss Hall 012.Conducting the workshops are (L-R):

Amy Hill -  She co-starred with Mike Myers in Cat in the Hat and with Adam Sandler in Fifty First Dates..

Yumi Iwama - She co-starred in the movie The New Swiss Family Robinson with Jane Seymour.  Recently she performed in the world premiere of Tea with Music at East West Players in Los Angeles.

Brian Mulligan - Teaches both Meisner and Hagen techniques, scene study, audition technique and improvisation.  Won "Best of Fringe" for Evolution of a Kiss at the 2011 Hollywood Fringe Festival.

Together they have over 35 years of professional acting, directing, and producing experience in the film industry.

Seeking Diverse Filmmakers, HBO Launches HBOAccess to Find Candidates to Produce Short-Form Content

The timeline for submissions is as follows:

Feb. 3, 2014 – Application process opens at withoutabox.com.

March 3, 2014 – Application process closes (or on the date upon which submissions reach the cap of 500 applicants, whichever comes first).

March 2014 – 20 candidates will be chosen to advance to second-round interviews (conducted in person or via Skype). Candidates will be expected to discuss their project in detail. Additionally, candidates must own and assign to HBO all rights necessary to develop and produce their idea.

May 8, 2014 – Four finalists are notified.

June 3, 2014 to June 26, 2014 – HBOAccess™ program is held in Los Angeles.

UPDATED CALL TIME SCHEDULE FOR BACKGROUND EXTRAS Wednesday, November 13, 2013, between 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 

Aloha HAN Friends:

 

This is an UPDATED SCHEDULE that invites you to be a Background Extra in a Karaoke Bar, as patrons of the bar.

 

Must be 21+ years old.

 

This is a NON-UNION ACTORS and Non-Paying Student Project.  But you will get a small Lunch and Snacks, for your time.

 

Only 8 Position Left Open.

 

Bring your own Wardrobe: As you would be portraying the contestants/audience at a karaoke contest. (No actual singing from the contestants or audience, from the extras.)  Wardrobe would be everyday go-out clothes (dress, blouse, pants, shoes).

 

The filming will be on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, between 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at:

I don't think it's about the catch phrase, because people can come up with their own phrase to promote themselves or Hawaii's Film Industry if they choose to!
