Don't trust a casting notice with spelling errors.  Real professionals have editors or overseers that do not allow for grammar and spelling errors in professional casting notices. This applies to any kind of sales pitch.

I thought this guy was a little weird too. I sent info to him and he told me that he liked my look and resume info. He emailed me back and said I could show up on the 6th June to do photos for Maxim or Playboy. I wrote him back and told him I was looking for something less risque like Vogue and I haven't heard back from him. Very careful all.

Alert: Be cautious when dealing with NY1 productions (they posted a casting call recently). I was supposed to have a meeting with "Ash" today however last night while asking specific questions about the company he became defensive. He said the CEO was John Stevenson (same last name as him) and the headquarter address was false. The address provided was a Tj Maxx in New York. He claimed to be published in vogue but there was no credentials found in google. Also, the BBB has no record of them being a company. Just a heads up!

Aloha HAN Family,

We just got word from the event planners at Facebook, the Honolulu Small Business Boost is a full house with hundreds on wait list. They got an overwhelming response from the people of Hawaii and Hawaii's Film Industry. They're currently exploring a way to do an overflow area in order to accommodate everyone. We will let you know as soon as we get more information from them. However, there is space avaliable at the Facebook SBB seminar on Maui this Sunday.

If you plan to attend the event on Maui, Hawaiian Airlines have a $64 one way special deal and Courtyard Maui Kahului Airport has a Kamaaina rate of $179 if you choose to stay overnight. Just let them know you are with Hawaii's Film Industry.

You can find out more about these specials on

Looking forward to seeing many faces of HAN at the seminar.

If you are attending the Facebook event but having transportation issues, don't forget to use the HAN Carpool group to post your need.
