Aloha HAN Family,

We want to take this time to say Thank You to everyone that has stood by the Hawaii Actors Network for the past 8 years. Your encouragement and support has brought us to having the best filming year in Hawaii's history. We are bracing for a full year of productions to film here in 2017. Many of the productions are planning to hire all of our local talent but also help us create an environment where we can develop our talent. We are very excited for the future of Hawaii's Film Industry. We have a new website with an interactive app currently being built and will be ready January 2017. This will allow casting directors and producers to cast from our network wherever they are in the world. We have made major accomplishments bringing awareness to our entertainment industry, but we still have more work to do. We encourage everyone to log in your account, update your information and share this awesome network on your other social media platforms. Sharing is what got us here and sharing is what will keep us here.

Mahalo for ALL the support you've given to Hawaii's Film Industry.

HAN Team

We are not successful until you are!

The state tax break benefits the film crew. Not the local actors.
They have to audition actors from the state first
for the smaller roles. If they can't find the right actor for the part locally. They then will hire out
of state.

And very few woman parts!
Comment by Arlene on October 2, 2016 at 8:24pm
I'm so tired of hearing about other states like Tennessee and Georgia who will not give a "tax break" to productions in their states unless they hire local actors with a state drivers license! We are not getting work in Hawaii and we pay some of the highest taxes! I want the same advantage for local Hawaii actors! Please comment!
