Seems like a killer series. Will you be looking for background actors/actresses as well? See you at Hoku Kon/Comic Con.

Comment by Tony Young on July 20, 2015 at 12:28pm

The Jackie Claxton Film Festival is coming and actor/director Tony Young (fresh from the L.A. production of Samurai Cop: Deadly Vengeance) will be casting for his unique take on this local series.

From the website:

Jackie Claxton is a dimension hopper whose mission it is to save human souls, battle evil forces, and embark on mystical and supernatural adventures through her power of teleportation. This short employs my trademark twist, in that she now has to save a version of herself. A girl with the powers of teleportation that saves souls from evil. This is a dramatic treatment of the character in the style of the "Twilight Zone."

Anyone who has ever been a part of the Jackie Claxton series in Hawaii will automatically get a cameo or considered for a new role. Creator Jeff Katts is not directly involved with this short, but this will be submitted to his film festival in September.

Writer Tony Young's credits his influences Joss Whedon and Geoff Johns for his take on these characters. In L.A., a casting notice drew 144 submissions for Jackie Claxton.

JACKIE CLAXTON, age range 18 to 24, a girl with the powers of teleportation that saves souls from evil.

JACQUELINE, age range 25 to 30 is Jackie Claxton if she had never been granted teleportation powers. Happily married with two children.

TRAVIA, any age or gender. In this version, Travia takes the role of the Angel in "It's a Wonderful Life" combined with "The Devil and Daniel Webster."

Headshots can be emailed to tlyoung88@yahoo.com or come see me at the Hawaii Comic Con.

Hi Lew, I agree with Anna about your posts about the CY Project.

I think what we're looking for (as the other posts usually are) is: "audition here, at this date/time" specifics.  Not just "join this group for more info".

If the audition isn't happening now or in the next few weeks, it's not "currently casting"........it's "thinking about casting", which is a bit different......;/

Thanks,

--Jackie

I can't express how grateful I am to be on the set with great people. The entire crew since season 1 has been so nice and friendly. They work such long hours but their patience is their perseverance. I am truly blessed.
