Aloha friends!

We are shooting four movies on Hawaiian history starting with Chiefess Kapiolani. We have cast our net throughout the Hawaiian Islands, with over 1300 people and over 800 Native Hawaiians who have taken part in auditions over the past 6 months. This is a once-in-lifetime experience to be a part of this important movie!

Our Native Hawaiian cultural advisors and historians include Nainoa Thompson (Hokulea), Sam Kapoi. Duke Aiona, Wayne Brauham, Dawn O'Brien, Glenn Madeiros, Dennis Hirota, and Rich Turbin. We have been internationally recognized in the media through our commitment to accurately portray Hawaiian history and the casting of Native Hawaiians in character roles.

Casting Guidelines:
• Time period: Early 1800's
• Looking for Native Hawaiians to portray Characters/Villagers
• Must be able to attend wardrobe fitting (TBD Oct 30th or 31st between 11am-4pm )
• Anyone with (Early 1820) era traditional wardrobe / clothing is desired
• (Kihei, Pa'u skirts, Kukui nut accessories, Neutral Colors)
• All ages - Toddlers, Children between 2yrs and 80 yrs
• Flat rate: $100 (average 10-12 hour day) + paid $10 for gas = $110 per day
• Non-Union

Filming on the Windward side of the island!

Aloha! We're currently casting lead/supporting roles (and extras) for a short ACM student film "Photo Diary," written/directed by Shaneika Aguilar of Storylite Studios. "Photo Diary" is about JANNA, an ambitious college student who struggles to pursue a creative career due to her strained relationship with her mother, LOYSA. We are especially seeking Filipino, Asian, and/or hapa actors for lead/supporting roles. 

JANNA: Half Filipino, Half Caucasian. Early 20s. Timid college student who loves photography. 

LOYSA: Must look full Filipino and can speak in Filipino accent (a plus if you can speak Ilokano/Tagalog, but not required). 40s-60. Strict and sassy. 

LAURA: Part or Full Filipino. English speaking. Bubbly. 

EXTRAS: College students.

Auditions are by appointment, Oct. 12, 13, 19, and 20 (please see attached flyer for times). Shoot days are this coming month of November. This is non-paid; meal, credit, and copy of film will be provided.

Casting for white male to play Russian character in short film

Ugly Director Productions seeks Caucasian man, 30s to 50s, to play a supporting role as Vladimir Putin in "Mister Future Ex-President 3," a political parody short film. Character has two lines. Need actor with a confident, commanding presence and a strong voice. Dialogue is in English, but actor's ability to do a Russian accent is a plus. Actor would wear a Russian fur hat, provided by production. 

Rehearsal and shoot will be held on Sunday afternoon, October 8, at Hawaii Filmmakers Collective at 3167 Waialae Avenue in Kaimuki. Pay is $20 per hour. Call time for this role is 2 p.m., and shoot is expected to last two hours.

Hello! We are currently casting the supporting roles for "The Moon & The Night" that will shoot in on Oahu in October. It was selected for the Sundance Native lab and is a SAG-AFTRA production, although we are accepting non-union as well. We are doing deferred payment of $125/day. Actors will be fed on set and will be provided a DVD or link to the film after it's been completed. If you fit either of the roles below, please email us a submission to and we will send material for you to self tape.

BRYCE – Male, early 30s to mid 40s.

The jock in high school who never grew up. He continues to believe that the ultimate purpose of life is to hang with your bros and have a good time.

Easy-going and always looking out for his friends. However, the hint of danger in his eyes make some wary of his presence.

Must be available October 21st, 23rd, & 29th.

TEACHER – Early 30s to mid 50s. Polynesian female.

Confronts Mahina, the protagonist, after she ditches her class.

A strict yet fair educator. Mahina's teacher wants her to excel in class, but she refuses to give any of her students a free pass.

Must be available October 28th.

For the female actress a background in fight choreography is a must or a background in some martial arts is preferred.

Age ranges from 20 through 30 years of age.
