The state tax break benefits the film crew. Not the local actors.
They have to audition actors from the state first
for the smaller roles. If they can't find the right actor for the part locally. They then will hire out
of state.

And very few woman parts!
Comment by Arlene on October 2, 2016 at 8:24pm
I'm so tired of hearing about other states like Tennessee and Georgia who will not give a "tax break" to productions in their states unless they hire local actors with a state drivers license! We are not getting work in Hawaii and we pay some of the highest taxes! I want the same advantage for local Hawaii actors! Please comment!

Looking for ACTORS, all ages, to fill a variety of small roles. This is for a promotional trailer for a feature film about Japanese Americans during World War II.

This is an unpaid gig. Most roles should only take a few hours of your time. You will get the footage for your reel.

This project shoots this week. The cinematography team is flying in from Los Angeles. For an idea of our visual style: https://vimeo.com/109165322

If you are available and interested, please send your headshot & resume (reel, if available) to: k2h10@sbcglobal.net
