Matt, they will pay what they are mandated to pay by SAG/AFTRA. So go to either one of those sites and look up the standard background pay for union and non=union.

According to my old Lost vouchers, it was 134 per 8 hour block for non-union rate, which is what Teddy posted.

According to, Non-union background pay for 8 hours is $58. I know when I worked 12-hour days for non-union roles in Disney's Den Brother and WB's One Tree Hill I got paid around $100 for the day, or more if we went overtime.

TV show filming in Hawaii needs approx: 200 background extras.

Ages 18 and up. (NO MINORS PLEASE).
Need to portray fans at a High School football game.
Need Pacific Islanders, Local Mixes, Asian Mixes, All islander types.
Shooting all day on Monday August 2, 2010

Aloha to all HAN members,
Thank you all for your congrats and email submissions for the new ABC Series “Off The Map”. Well, I’m finally getting settled into my position and excited for all of us to be a part
of this new production. There will be several open casting sign-ups in the upcoming weeks. I am happy to announce our first open sign-up, exclusive for HAN members.

Found this ad on Craigslist. Contact info below.

We are looking for extras to shoot a pilot for a (yoga) exercise show here on Oahu.

If we are successful we will be doing a series of the show in the future.

No experience is needed. The exercises will be very simple and easy to do.

Must be fit and in good health.

We are looking for Asian men and women (Japanese, Chinese or Korean or other oriental types) between the ages of 20 to 70.

There is no speaking required.

Aloha fellow actors,

Laurie Foi will be casting for the ABC Series "Off The Map"

She will be casting principle and background actors
to portray people from the Amazon Regions.
As she gets herself prepped for her new job she will be communicating with HAN with ALL casting information for post here.
FYI, if you are bilingual and fluent in Spanish or Portuguese that’s a plus
