Until then, please LIKE our page (Sande Alessi Casting) and SHARE with friends that might like to work on the film. At this point we are not able to say the name of the film, or the actors names…but what we can say is that it's BIG in more ways than one!
Please go to our WEBSITE and register your photo in our ONLINE DATABASE. www.SandeAlessiCasting.com It's free and easy to do. Great training for Actors who wants to get involve in stunts.

The Ninja Monkeys Stunt Team started out as a few friends (Ronald Matsushige and Grant Miyashiro) helping out another friend (Kevin Won) with a small television show named: Ninja EX (Written, produced, and directed by the very talented Aaron Yamasato) The name is derived from a combination of our first project, and our one common moniker, "monkey."
Soon after, Kevin called again to work on a Kikaida spoof named "Bronkaida". (Written, Directed, Produced by another talented individual: Jake Akuna) We were lucky enough to work with Zero Kazama (Known for many great things other than Silent Library) and Bruce Chu. Bruce joined up shortly after that and was kind enough to design out logo.
After that, we landed a project called: Battle Of The Minions. (Written and produced by Jeff Katts and directed by the very talented Aaron Yamasato) We aquired a few more members: Danny Shin and Brandon "Ducky" Agena.
Then shortly after came the infamous "How They Met" (Written by Kevin Won, Directed by Keoni Maemori and Kit Zuleta) This project was actually Kevin's wedding video. And we were lucky to have Chad Okumura (one of Kevin's groomsmen) join us at that time.
From there, we did Battle Of The Minions 2: Higher Salvation. (Written by Bruce Chu. Directed by Grant Miyashiro)
Currently we are working on a project named "NVA: Tale Of The Sword" (Written, produced, and starring Kell "Yoshiki Takahashi" Komatsubara and Co-Directed by Kell "Yoshiki Takahashi" Komatsubara, Grant Miyashiro, Kevin Won and Leon Sheen)
There has been an on going project named "Jade Dragon" that Kevin Won has been working on with Pineapple Dan Furuya and Sean Tiwanak. From one of those shoots though we were introduced to 2 great additions to our roster: Leon Sheen and Alex Gilfiley.
We have been blessed and honored to work with alot of great local hawaiian talents: Aaron Yamasato, Jake Akuna, Zero Kazama, Jeff Katts, Keoni Maemori and JHM Productions, Pineapple Dan Furuya, Kell "Yoshiki Takahashi" Komatsubara and Azami Pro Productions, and many great actors and actresses.

Now Shooting in Hawaii

HO'OMAU

Aloha! The Rising Sons and Co Creative Studios are teaming up to produce a new native Hawaiian short film. Ho‘omau is set in pre-contact ancient Hawai‘i and will be spoken entirely in olelo Hawai‘i. It tells the story of a young girl persisting against all odds in the face of a deadly volcanic eruption on ancient Hawai‘i Island.
Ho‘omau explores the themes of endurance, strength of character and pono vs. hewa. Our vision for the film is to offer the excitement, intrigue and suspense of an action/adventure film within an authentic Hawaiian setting.
We are driven to tell this particular story because it’s an opportunity to return to the roots of the action/adventure genre. We want this film to be an example of the genre stripped down to its purest form, with incredible performances and beautiful cinematography anchored in historic reality.

Aloha Hawaii Film Industry Member,

There are rumors floating around of a few major motion pictures coming to Hawaii in the next couple of months. We know how excited this unverified information can be. While we are not privilege to confirm if the rumors are true, we thought this would be a good time to remind everyone the purpose of the Hawaii Actors Network (Social Lab for Hawaii's Film Industry). When we started this network, visiting productions were in the practice of bringing 90% of their production needs to Hawaii when it was time to film. Over the years we have learned that this practice was not in place because they did not want to hire locally but because they had very limited ways of finding Hawaii's Talent. With that said, for the past 6 years we have been on the mission of bringing worldwide attention to Hawaii's Talent.

Our ultimate goal is to provide a platform that gives visiting productions a snapshot of what type of talent Hawaii has to offer them when they are making decisions to film here. However, the only way we thought this could happen is to have a network where Hawaii's Talent is professionally displayed for visiting productions to see before they arrive to Hawaii. Now that we have this platform, we believe that there will soon be a time when visiting productions will only bring 20% of thier production needs to the islands and hire everyone else locally. Boy, wouldn't that be #AWESOME. As we learn more about productions coming to Hawaii, we should not use this platform for exploiting that they are filming in Hawaii. We should use this information as a message to get ourselves ready so that more of us will get the chance to work on these productions. We would love to see more local actors get a chance at some of the bigger roles and more background performers get hired for more days. #extrasmatter It would be a good idea for us to start conversations about what we need to do (for ourselves) in order we are ready to audition and be hired. We look forward to hearing that MANY of our members got a chance to work on these upcoming productions.

I just recently watched an interview with Oprah Winfrey on the subject of career, life and leadership. I learned so much from that interview and decided to post on the front of the network for you to watch. So when you have a moment go onto HAN and check it out. It's a must see interview.
