FREUD’S LAST SESSION – WINNER OF THE BEST PLAY AWARD FROM THE OFF BROADWAY PLAY ALLIANCE (2011) performs in Honolulu this September 2015.   What will Hawai`i’s analysis be?

Audiences will meet the show’s producer, director and others to join the discussion and share their comments, inquiries and inspirations after all performances.

Inspired by the work of Harvard psychiatrist, Dr. Armand M. Nicholi, “The Question of God,” playwright Mark St. Germain envisions Freud conducting his last therapy session with Oxford don C.S. Lewis-- acclaimed writer and recent convert to Christianity.  Starring Paul T. Mitri as Sigmund Freud; Donovan Oakleaf as C.S. Lewis, and directed by Mark Branner, “Freud’s Last Session” engages the audience in an intriguing quest for ultimate truth.  Enjoy the humorous wit of C.S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud as these scholarly foes clash over love, sex, the existence of God, and the meaning of life. Will Freud’s commitment to science be challenged by Lewis’ faith in an unwavering God?  How does Lewis analyze the Master of Analysis--which happens just weeks before Freud takes his own life? Does Freud meet his match?  What will Hawaii decide?  Let the games begin.

 Freud’s Last Session.

Hello fellow actors in Christ!  I pray some of you can be a blessing right now, as my film team at PacRim Christian College are having some....difficulties....with our cast.  Our script has a fair amount of dialogue, but plenty of room for ad-libbing.  And availability this week would be GREAT.  Depending on your role, you'd need to be available tomorrow, Wednesday, July 13, and Thursday, July 14.  Morning availability is important as 3/4 of the scenes are beach scenes.  Wardrobe open to whatever you've got in your closets.  No full-on black or white pieces.  Thank you.

Divine Addiction is the story of a man, strong in faith, and successful in church and work, who stumbles along the way.  Estrangement, heartbreak, and finding he's forgotten who really holds the strings in his life brings him back to the Lord.

The short film is a college project.  Upon our completion of the film, you will receive: ~Food for every shoot (a meal is NOT guaranteed)
~A DVD copy of the film w/ appropriate credits
~A free pass into the student film festival on 8/18/11

Nikolas - Male, Early 20's.  Any ethnicity.  Good friend of male lead, strong in the Lord, somewhat playful and simple.

Etta - Female, Early 20's.  Any ethnicity.  Adoptive cousin of Nikolas, also strong in the Lord.  Down-to-earth.  Small but CRUCIAL role.

Damon - Male, Mid-to-Late 20's.  Any ethnicity.  Real boyfriend of female lead.  Non-believer, type of person to cheat.  Small but CRUCIAL role.

Please send contact information, an acting resume, and whatever recent pictures you have of yourself ASAP.  We need people in the next 24 hrs.  I apologize for the lateness of it.

Tomorrow's shoot will be at Farrington High School, bright and early at 8:15 am.

Thank you to anyone who may be of help at this time.

~Frances Diocares, Co-Producer

Thanks Michael,

It's a good reminder to the fellow Christian family who we/they are and where we/they stand in Christ. Love one another at all times. God is good all the time, even at bad times. =) Let The Lord lead.

Thanks for the question Michael. I ask God for help in my prayers every morning and I pray the He will guide my steps and my will. Then I get on with my day and do my best to remember to pray before every decision, no matter how small. I don't always remember to do that but more and more I want to know His will. Yesterday was a tough day for me over family issues but even though I slogged through it He still used me to help others. It is such an honor to be used by God. I'm glad to have an opportunity to talk about Him. God bless us all. TT

Thank you Michael and Bryan for your posts! Amen! Jesus always comes through, and his "yoke is easy".

Jesus clears the way for us in ways we can't even see because he promises to never give us a burden beyond that which we can handle.

Sometimes we just have to let go and get out of His way so we experience who he is and what he wants to do in our lives.

Here's to counting on God's perfect and benevolent promises for our lives....
