Academy Awards Still Have a Long Way to Go on the Path to Diversity [Video Essay]

Despite the snafu in announcing this year’s winner for Best Picture at the Academy Awards, the fact that Moonlight came out on top after La La Land dominated the awards circuit all season is a big deal. It shows that Oscar voters may finally be embracing diversity in a big way, and not in a […]

VOTD: Learn How the Original Lightsabers Were Created with a Vintage Camera Flash

One of the biggest complaints that Star Wars fans have about the prequels (at least those who don’t enjoy them that much) is that it seems like George Lucas abandoned the tangible feel of real sets and practical effects in favor of too many computer generated imagery. The true innovation that brought Star Wars to […]

Superhero Bits: Joker and Harley Quinn Get Fast Food, Green Lantern Cameo, Batman Board Game & More

What kind of Batman board game is Monolith debuting at a Cannes game festival coming up? How did Jerry Seinfeld help convince Hugh Jackman that it was time to be done with Wolverine? Was there a Suicide Squad deleted scene with The Joker and Harley Quinn getting fast food? Will there be a Green Lantern […]

Bigger CW Crossover Expected For DC Shows Next Season

Last year there was a crossover between Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, The Flash, and Arrow. The crossover event, titled “Invasion!”, began with Supergirl and ended with Legends of Tomorrow, with The Flash and Arrow nice and comfy around the middle. The heroes teamed up to defeat the Dominators, but little of the action was featured in Supergirl, so it wasn’t the huge […]

Hello HI Film Crew!

I'm a recent graduate looking for work. I have experience as a Set PA but am able to fill other PA positions. I'm based out of Wilmington, NC but am able to provide my own accommodations and am willing to travel.

I'm very organized, a good listener, hardworking, persistent, and work well under pressure. I am familiar with Microsoft Office, and can communicate professionally through email, phone, or walkie.

Below is a link to an online version of my resume. If anyone needs a good PA, you can contact me at luz.kaiolani@gmail.com.

Thank you,

Kai Feliciano

I was just wondering if there's a way to just work behind the scenes. I want to know how it works and the different job opportunities there are. Does anyone know if someone (me) could intern or somehow be able to work behind the scenes of these for the up coming movies or shows filming here in Hawaii? I was thinking of volunteering at either Manoa Valley Theatre or Diamond Head Theatre just to get a head start. Any suggestions?
