Filmmakers Must Know Marketing

Dear filmmaker,

You’ve worked tirelessly on bringing your script to fruition, and after days, weeks, months of no sleep, navigating unforeseen circumstances, and finding creative inspiration in the unexpected, production’s finally complete. You hit the editing suite running, and after recutting, and recutting, and recutting scene three, you’re actually proud of your final product and ready to hand it over.  You’re done now, right? Wrong. In this digital age, it’s essential for you to understand how to market your project.  Here are some tips to get you off the ground running:

Aloha HAN Filmmakers,

We are currently in preliminary conversation with a group that's interested in creating a cable network dedicated to showcasing Hawaii's talent for the rest of the country to enjoy. This will be a momentous moment for all of us involved in Hawaii's Film Industry. Before we make any decisions we wanted to bring this idea to you (HAN members) and let you decide if we are ready to take this huge step. If you're a Hawaii based filmmaker and would be interested in providing material for a Hawaii based cable network, send us your contact information and a sample of your work before February 1, 2014. We will be sure and take all submissions into consideration when making the decision as to what's best for all of the members of HAN and the fans of Hawaii's Film Industry. If you know of a Hawaii based filmmaker that would be interested in producing material for our network, please forward this email to them so we be sure and account for all Hawaii's enthusiastic filmmakers.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Mahalo for your time!

Need Workflow help with Panasonic AG-HVX200P($ compensation) (Kailua)

I am in need of somebody that can help me set and establish a smooth workflow with my video camera. The camera that I have is a Panasonic AG-HVX200P. It records to either mini-DV tape or P2 cards. If you are not fully versed in this exact camera that is ok. As long as you are able to help me do the following(I do have the manual):

Need help with:
-setting to the proper settings for shooting and making sure that the camera stays on those settings
-transferring footage from camera to computer(I have a Mac), both from tape and P2 card.
-standard film settings/recoding set ups: ie; shooting in low light, setting white balance, setting proper format(1080i verses others)
-working my way around the menu
-formatting P2 cards

I basically will pay you for your time to help me with these set up issues and to pick your brain on any other issues that might come up with this camera.

Please respond to this email or call: 808-554-6639

"Dining Fine" just sent me a second spam mail.  Please petition to have this asshole removed from HAN.

"Dining Fine" should have their account revoked.  Do not click on anything that this person sends you in an e-mail.  It's more spam.
