Looking for a set photographer for an Academy of Creative Media Student Film!

Shooting dates Nov. 20th and 21st, call times TBA, before 3pm.

A movie within a movie, Take 2 is about Joshua, a young man trying to find his place in life, and Cindy, a strong-willed and determined director. They come into unexpected conflict when Cindy’s approach to asserting control on the set (involving a bowl of M&M’s), makes Joshua a victim. When they unexpectedly find themselves next to each other, and alone, they have a surprisingly candid conversation, giving Cindy a chance to show compassion, and Joshua a chance to find a small measure of self-confidence.

If interested, please send basic contact info to take2movie @ [remove spaces]. All crew will be compensated with film credits only. However, this can be an important role to add to your resume.

The Dynamic Portrait

What are the elements that go into creating a dynamic portrait? Light, camera angle, location, and atmosphere. Learn the techniques of effective portraiture, both in and out of the studio. All aspects of the portrait are demonstrated and discussed. Specific topics covered include facial analysis, effective lighting techniques to highlight an individual’s character and strengths, as well as capturing the decisive moment. The instructor discusses his workflow and demonstrates with a live portrait session. The final stage of the seminar shows how prints are made and discusses the advantages of printing your own work and the media used.

This discussion is appropriate for all levels of photographers.

Prerequisites: A basic knowledge of photography. Please bring your camera and a digital capture card or film to the class.
