I am a film student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa's Academy for Creative Media.
I was referred to your profile on Hawaii Actors Network and I would like ask if you would be in interested in a student project:
I am in the processing a starting a new project: a short film devoted to the jazz club culture, especially the one in Oahu (Jazz Minds, The Dragon Upstairs, etc.), from the struggle of venues, to the relationship of Jazz with more recent music followings. We're pushing this to be showcased in multiple film festivals, inside and outside of Hawaii. You seem like a great fit for my protagonist, the Jazz Club owner Russ.
If your interested, we're planning to shoot one short scene on this Saturday. A casting call and the script is attached here:
I'm available Saturday ll day. I am not really latina but most people say I look like I am. Let me know more details about the project and what you would need from me. I could possibly do Thursday all day too. Mahalo.
Hey Jesus! it was great working with you yesterday on "Ironheart", I had a blast and I am stoked we got to meet and act together! I can't wait to get together again the next time around. Give me a call any time and if you find any projects to do let me know and I will do the same of course! Aloha! Morgan!
