Under the Skin: The Spirit of the Tatau

Posted on October 6, 2010 at 1:39pm 0 Comments

Well, last weekend was awesome. All the actors/actresses, PA's, Make-Up Artists', Wardrobe, Consultants, Laborers and more..........THANK YOU!

This was a complete success and I feel that we captured the spirit and the very essence of the Polynesian culture. Moreover, this was done in a moment's time (film time) and on a micro-budget. Meaning, what we will show in the amount of time given will amaze even the harshest of critics.

I credit my good friend Kaina who of which… Continue

Under the SKin: The Tatau

Posted on September 25, 2010 at 3:39am 0 Comments

Well, Kaina brought me to a very spiritual place the other day and I think we will film there. The mountains surround this valley as a mother embracing her child. Water that has been long cut off has been worked where small trickles of water once again trickles down onto the property creating a lush environment.

I have a guy coming in to blow fog around to give it some texture and add some softness. I am busting my ass making these costumes and ordering props. The price for Wiemea and… Continue

Under the Skin: Getting Ready for Action

Posted on September 22, 2010 at 11:30am 0 Comments

I truly feel blessed to have so many dedicated, hardworking professionals backing me up. I remember when I first started this project, I would wonder how I would get people to help me, let alone enough people to encompass all of the countless facets that go into making a film.

One of my traits that has played to my advantage is that I am a researching fool. This really helps in maintaining the authentic look that I am being known for and it also keeps me on track in regards to the… Continue

Greg,
I left you a couple messages about the location of choice, and really need to meet with you to get the documents completed so we can resume shooting at this choice location.
I'm putting together the Polynesian team of extras, and the viet cong team as well.
We will discuss that too next time we meet.
I will need you Okay on some of the choices available.
Some of the responses I've received so far, for Under the Skin, has been very good, and I've worked with some of the actors who are responding.

Now we can begin to get the steam roller effect and do some real awesome stuff, Greg. Glad to be on board. Mahalo. I've got everything in gear now, and things are on a roll for this project. Let's Do It!

Also, look me up on Facebook under Brad LaGrange, Louisville KY (if I allready told you that I apologize for the repeat). I have some pictures of WWII extras I costumed, as well as a Vietnam LRRP (reconnisance) team I did for an aspiring actor's demo reel.
