Pacific Invasion to be launched soon

Hi everyone,

My website Pacific Invasion Media is currently in construction and we are dedicated to showcasing the talents of Hawaii actors working on the mainland, and mainland actors working in Hawaii.

I will be visiting Hawaii later this year and I'm looking to build a team of entrepreneurs to develop the site and provide content. It may be a rough start as I'm building everything from scratch, but we have a successful business model at my former company at…

Just Another Day In Paradise

Two things to do on the way to an audition:  rock out and sing loud to your favorite music and for Heaven's sake, put the top down if you can, your hair can be fixed but that shot of straight-from-the-sun-vitamin-D can't be replicated!

Actors in Hawaii are lucky - the industry so far has been much more than kind, the actors are incredible and helpful to one another, and oh boy, even the terrible traffic here gets you across the island in minutes (sometimes a LOT of minutes),…

SO EVERYONE LIKE MAKE ONE MOVIE... SHOOTS... MAKE EM DEN!

Aloja's everybody.  Read some of the chatter on this site, people wondering why more quality home grown movies are not being made here in the islands...  Check out the below link, it's a Q&A by Lloyd Kaufman, you may not know who he is,  but he and his creative partner Michael Hertz started a grass roots film and distribution company called TROMA ENTERTAINMENT, creating such exploitation classics as the Toxic Avenger, Sergeant Kubuki Man NYPD, Surf Nazis Must Die, Poultrygeist, you get…

Oops!

Well, I don't feel bad, I'm glad I tried, but I totally forgot everything I ever learned about television today when I auditioned for a feature roll... Dang it. I knew as soon as I finished.  Well, it's been twenty years since I got to think of acting on a regular basis, it's time for me to put up or shut up.  Right?

Let's see if I get it right tomorrow.  Thank you to the fabulous Keo Woolford - I love his vision, this film is going to be awesome (my kids especially will love…

Off We Go

It's been years since I've been in the business and boy can I tell - it's the same but different.  The great thing is that raising seven kids over twenty years has for sure taught me how to act - I pretend like teens aren't breaking my heart, I pretend that I'm a maid and I like my job, I pretend that I know how to cook chicken 200 different ways...

You get the picture, right? I'm convincing myself I've stayed in touch with the creative side of me.  Does it work?  Sort of.…

ROCK YOUR SHIT!!!!!

We sometimes feel that we are competing with others, especially ourselves, it's not... it's allowing ourselves to express ourself HONESTLY, to ourself, and others WITHOUT BOUNDS... That is art...  just watched - AIR GUITAR NATION - on Hulu...  Your dreams can be realized in many different ways...  Just wake up from the dream, get your ass up off the couch and  TALK YOUR SHIT...  Mahalo's.

Question: Need Answer Please!

UPDATE-A "Side" is a three minute scene... I suppose I need to know if this is in addition to the script I was sent.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:

In a message for a movie role audition, if someone tells me I should have my "sides," does that mean the script sent previously?  I am not afraid to ask, but figured I'd try here first. Thank you!

Also, I am just getting to know the website and I've been sick for some time, but I found out Sunday, August 21, there's to…

QR CODE/MOBILE MARKETING

The music business has been and is undergoing crazy changes that is shaking up all the major and small players in the industry. The problem is not the evolution of a different way of manipulating and consuming media but the failure of the player to foresee and yield to these changes.

In studying entrepreneurship last semester, I came across the concept of…
