Casting Notice for short film "Mister Future Ex-President"

This is a 10-minute political parody to be made into a web series, hopefully.

Written and directed by Carlton Saito. (E-mail to be sent an audition side)

Open Auditions Sunday, February 12, 2017 Noon to 3 p.m.

Hawaii Filmmakers Collective office at 3167 Waialae Avenue in Honolulu

Bring your acting résumé and photo if you have those and your character attire or photos of the attire.

Will probably ask you to read additional pages, beside the audition side.

Must sign release. Non-union production.

There is a restroom on the premises to change attire.

Mister Future Ex-President
Actor must be at least 35 years old but able to play older.
Actor must provide own dark-colored suit, shirt, red tie and black dress shoes and do own hair and makeup. No visible tattoos or piercings. Character is extremely self-centered, vain, brash, boastful, insecure, sexist and sexually aggressive.

Dana Lee

30s to 40s, attractive.

Must look and speak like a female TV news anchor. No visible tattoos.

Actor must provide own wardrobe and shoes and do own hair and makeup. Character is knowledgeable, professional and determined not to put up with her interview subject's BS, leading to a gotcha.
She is groped and kissed (which can be faked) by male actor.
In alternate ending, the character reveals that she is a transgender woman.


$100 for rehearsal and shoot, up to eight hours (not including meal times).

$15 per hour if we need to re-record dialogue at a future date for ADR.

Meals will be provided.

Will also provide talent and crew with clip or copy of finished short for demo reel after public release of the finished movie.
